I Love My Hometown
Good morning, everyone!My name is Cheng Hancan.I’m from Class 2 Grade 6 of Ziyang No. 3 Primary School.I was born in a beautiful county. I’m 11 years old now .I like reading books and learning English ,because they can make me know more .Today I’m very happy to share my topic with you .My topic is I Love My Hometown .
Wuyuan is my hometown that is located in the northeast of Jiangxi.It’s not very big but called the most beautiful countryside in China. I love my hometown as the following reasons.
Firstly,Wuyuan is a county with a long history .People here are friendly and hard-working .In the old times, it was known as the famous educator Zhu Xi and the Father of China railway Zhan Tianyou . They are the pride of us.
Secondly, there is lots of delicious food in Wuyuan. Such as Qingming wheat, gas cake ,rice cake and so on .Qingming wheat look like dumplings, but they are green . People always make them before Tomb-sweeping Festival. For breakfast, we usually eat gas cake.It’s soft. Not only the olds but also children like it .Rice cakes are made with glutinous rice, eggs, meat and salt .They are very popular during the Spring Festival . These snacks all taste yummy.
Thirdly, I love my hometown because of the charming scenery in every season. In spring ,the weather turns warm. The Flower Sea in Jiangling attracts large numbers of visitors .They come here to enjoy the beautiful flowers, take photos or draw pictures.When it’s summer, many people are also willing to be here on holiday .Because the weather in Wolong Valley is pleasant. The river is clean , the air is fresh and the waterfall is cool. In autumn, it’s always sunny. Farmers in Huangling usually dry their crops like corn, beans and hot pepper. It’s funny to see the farmers use them to make some different pictures .They’re colourful. We call it Shai Qiu. When winter comes,it’s white everywhere after snowing. The view of Yueliang Wan is quite pretty and the profile of the moon is more easily to see .It’s like a lovely picture.
Last but not least, with the help of the government, Wuyuan has convenient transportations and good education. People’s living standard is raising quickly.We all live happily in Wuyuan.
